Wildwood Presbyterian Church seeks an Associate Pastor of Youth & Families who is passionate about sharing the love of Christ with young people and energized by building relationships with middle schoolers, high school students, young adults, and their families. This is an opportunity to bring leadership and energy to a church looking to re-invigorate its ministry with students, young adults, and their families.

THE POSITION

Facilitate, implement, and administer to youth, young adults, and their families in ministry programs to meet the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of our youth.

Serve as a biblically based and theologically informed guide for families, students, and children.

Recruit, train, support, and lead a team of volunteers to come alongside our middle school, high school, and young adults to help them explore the Christian faith.

Lead related youth activities, including arranging weekly Sunday lesson plans, youth group gatherings, retreats, mission trips, and fundraisers.

Coordinate and lead our annual Confirmation program.

Assist the lead pastor in providing leadership, direction, and support for the overall worship ministry of the church. This includes leading volunteers, occasionally providing pastoral care which may include visitations, officiating memorial services, and conducting weddings. Participates in building a dynamic culture of support and encouragement for all worship ministry participants.

Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative staff environment.

Preach regularly, most likely monthly, in consultation with the head of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master of Divinity required.

Previous experience in youth ministry required.

Proficiency with social media management helpful.

Comfortable with both traditional and modern worship styles.

Team builder with a strong work ethic who enjoys having fun.

Consistently exhibits Christ-like character with a heart for personal spiritual growth.

Has an inclusive mindset as it relates to worship, marriage between two people, and community, as we are all one in Christ.

Must hold a valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Salary including a housing allowance: $57,000+ depending on experience
