Mission Specialist for Special Offerings:

• Provide administrative support for the development of the giving campaigns and priorities of the Mission Agency the direction of the Project Management team.

• Track and support production timelines, budget tracking and provide progress reports to internal stakeholders.

• Manage projects and initiatives within the campaigns of Direct Mail, the Presbyterian Giving Catalog and the Special Offerings.

• Manage and Support team-wide communication platform.

• Oversee churchwide reporting and specific outreach efforts as directed.

Situational Responsibilities:

Give specific examples of situations this position would handle and those referred to the supervisor.

1. Employee is responsible for managing timeline and production of collateral materials. Supervisor is responsible for final design and budget approval.

2. Decisions concerning expenditures can be made by the employee within the approved budget for projects (e.g., digital advertising).

Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent job experience.

• 2 years experience in program support, project management, or office management.

• Demonstrate ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute and manage multiple projects.

• Ability to create and meet deadlines.

• Ability to maintain professionalism, focus and result-orientation under pressure and deadlines.

• Ability to format documents using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat,) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage/Outlook).

• Strong skills in written and oral communication.

• Proficient in web content management system and digital asset management system.

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work well independently.

The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville, Kentucky, serve and work with mid-councils, congregations and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ in the World. The work at the Presbyterian Center is carried out by approximately 400 staff members in several national entities: Office of the General Assembly, Presbyterian Investment and Loan, Presbyterian Mission Agency, Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, Presbyterian Women and the Administrative Services Group.

Position Purpose:

Share in the development of new models of fundraising and engagement which foster vital congregations engaged in systemic work to dismantle white supremacy and eradicate poverty. Provide the administrative and organizational support necessary for the Project Managers of the Special Offerings and Giving Catalog team to broaden the platforms, content, and approaches leading to greater participation and dollars for Matthew 25 ministry.
