Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church is a welcoming congregation that transforms and connects lives in Christ, and shares in the joy of celebrating the grace and glory of God through meaningful worship, study, service, outreach, and caring relationships of our members and community.
As we act out our faith and walk in Christ’s footsteps, we are called to be a blessing to others. We fulfill our mission, in part, through service and caring relationships in our community and congregation. We seek help from the Holy Spirit in identifying and addressing needs. We transform and connect lives to provide a nurturing environment of care and growth in our communities, internal and external. We maintain an active Deacon ministry.
We are an inter-generational community of faith in the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our vision for ministry is “Transforming and Connecting Lives in Christ”. Above the exit of our church building is painted a bold reminder to carry our faith and ministry “beyond these doors”.
We live out our vision as a continual focus; seeking opportunities for transforming lives in Christ through open doors, welcoming all who enter. We nurture and care for all our members - families as well as individuals - with ministry for all ages focusing on the Word and sharing in the joy of celebrating God’s grace and glory through worship, Bible study, community outreach, and fellowship.
We also use picnics, movie and game nights, fun runs, and other fellowship opportunities as important supplements to our study of God’s Holy Word, contributing to our overall vision of ministry. Visiting and caring for one another in times of joy and times of crisis are part of our ongoing transformation in Christ.
Our vision of ministry extends to our broader community through partnerships and outreach, sharing our facility with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Alcoholics Anonymous, and hosting a Korean NWC. We also look for opportunities to live out our vision by helping others suffering from natural disasters such as hurricane Harvey, partnering with Katy Christian Ministries, and mission trips for adults and youth.
