MINISTRY & PURPOSE
At Soul City, transformation is central to our mission. Every week we state that our mission is to lead people into a transforming relationship with Jesus. Whether people in our church are exploring faith, trying to meet new people, looking to build a firm foundation or looking to be formed in the way of Christ, we want to equip them to take unique next steps to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
The Transformation Pastor is the lead shepherd and overseer of all things transformation related: the four parts of the transformation path including Alpha, small groups, marriage ministry, baptism, connection & serving. This person will oversee a staff team that will help lead these efforts to help people grow. The right leader will be able to cast vision and create new ways to help people grow spiritually, as well as maintaining and improving some core ministries that are already effective like Small Groups & Alpha. They will also provide general pastoral care and direction to small group leaders and members as issues arise as well as in the church in the whole.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERCENTAGE OF TIME
Champion & build the Transformation Path including Alpha, and create the fourth “invitation” step on the path. (40%).
Lead, cast vision, direct the ministry, including budgeting & strategic planning. Champion the value of transformation at Soul City. (20%).
Lead & direct the staff team that oversees small groups, connection & serving. Empower the team to lead with excellence with a drive for results. (20%).
Provide pastoral care and mentoring to coaches, leaders and members of the congregation. (10%).
Oversee the baptism process and Soul Mates ministry. (10%).
