The history project of the Chicago Latino Coalition 2020 will be held on June 9, 2012.

The Division Street Riots are a significant event in the development of the Latino community in Chicago. This day of remembrance celebrates and acknowledges the individuals and organizations that formulated solutions to the problems of our community before and after the Division Street riots of June of 1966.

Join us on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Casa Central Auditorium at 1300 North California Avenue for 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The Master of Ceremonies will be Dr. Luis “Tony” Baez and our keynote speaker is Dr. Samuel Betances. We will also welcome the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra, Poetess Yolanda Nieves, Poet David Hernández, and El Corillo de Humboldt Park.

Please join us for this evening of remembrance and celebration.
